PeerLoom Seeder
Keeps your PeerLoom apps in sync while your phones sleep. Run it on a computer or home server that stays on, pair your phones with it once, and a phone that wakes up catches up even when nobody else is online.
For Mac, Windows and Linux on GitHub, and as an app on Umbrel and StartOS from the PeerLoom app store. Setup steps for each are on the support page.
What it does
Your PeerLoom apps sync phone to phone. When everyone's phones are asleep or out of signal, nothing moves until two of them are online together. PeerLoom Seeder keeps a copy of your shared lists, calendars, circles and files, so a phone that wakes up catches up from it, even if the person who made the change is offline.
One seeder serves every PeerLoom app that uses one: PearList, PearOffice, PearCal and PearCircle. If you already run an app's own seeder, you can keep it, use PeerLoom Seeder instead, or run both.
What it can see
It stores your data scrambled and cannot read it. It never gets the keys to your lists, calendars or files, so what it holds is useless to anyone who takes the box. Its owner can see which apps paired with it, how many shared items each device keeps there, how big they are and when they change.
It does not replace people. A new phone or a new member still needs someone already in the group online once to let them in. After that, the seeder keeps them in sync.
What you get
A dashboard in your browser to pair a phone by scanning a code, see each paired device with its app and the space it uses, rename or forget a device, and set how much each device may store (25 GB to start). It starts on its own after a restart and tells you when a new version is out; on Mac and Windows one click installs it.
